Naia has been belly dancing since 2004. She fell in love with Egyptian music and dance during her first class with Yasmine Al'Abbasi in Springfield, MO. Naia has also studied a variety of different typesof belly dancing under Mary Kat Lebo in Lafayette, IN. Though she has now expanded her repertoire to include American Cabaret, Veil, Raks Al Assaya, Lebanese, and Turkish, her heart remains true to Egyptian Raqs Sharqi. "The amazing thing about belly dance is that it brings women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds together and forges an unbreakable bond of sisterhood. We are all sisters in dance; we share the same dreams, hopes, and desires; and we shall always be connected in spirit." - 2008
